For starters, I urge you to read the testimony for yourselves. Having the understanding that you are not alone and that there are people that lived 200 years ago that had knew that the information that was presented in the Book of Mormon is true and that it came from God is amazing. I know that reading this information is always a little bit of a comfort, like having beef stew and warm rolls for supper on a stormy night.
These men, give me comfort by sharing with me their testimony. Even though it is collective, they tell me a little bit about what I am going to read in the next 531 pages. Furthermore, they allow me (and you) in their hearts with their verbiage sharing that they know without a doubt that these words are of ancient prophets and translated by the power of God. What better testimony could there be.
These three men carried on in their lives, and did not continue to keep the commandments of the Lord and fell pray to Satan, however, this does not change the fact that they wrote to each of us for time and all eternity their testimony. To my knowledge, even though they fell away from the church, none of them ever denounced this testimony written for each of us and our ancestors to read and learn from.
I leave this little post with you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
