This chapter is still Alma speaking to Corianton. And I am still using the principles and doctrine study skill set. I hope you find something to use from this post!
Have you ever stopped to think that we, as humans, mess up God’s order? I don’t know that I ever have pondered on that questions specifically; however, now is as good of a time as any. In Alma 41: 2, we read “for it is requisite that all things should be restored to their proper order.” Requisite pretty much means requirement… therefore, it is required in order for the plan of restoration to take place that everything should be restored (put back) to its proper order. I like this. All grass will be green, the ozone layer will be in its original form, the earth will spin properly, the oceans will be at their proper level, the chip in my front tooth will be gone, my husband’s receding hair line will be put back where it belongs…. everything will be perfected.
This chapter carries on, and there are some important principles to be found here that I am choosing not to get into too deeply at the moment. I do want to make clear though, that a restoration means to bring back… therefore, good will be brought back for good and evil will be brought back for evil and the only in between is those that were evil and have repented of their sins and desire to live in righteousness.
Alma is a great prophet and a wonderful speaker…. don’t forget that! He is AMAZING!
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
